Organizational Clubs

Association of Teachers of Technical Writing: Membership is $22/year for students. Members receive the Association’s quarterly journal, Technical Communication Quarterly and can attend and/or present at the annual ATTW conference. (There are also several options for faculty memberships, but nothing about institutional memberships/clubs. I will keep looking!) (waiting on a response about institutional memberships…email bounced back, haven’t been able to look for more)

 Rhetoric Society of America: RSA offers memberships for individuals, institutions, and affiliate organizations. Institutional memberships are $300/year, and they include one complimentary student membership, a 25% discount on additional bulk student and/or non-tenure track memberships, and 10% discount on bulk student conference registrations. The institutional membership application is found here. You can also create a student chapter (“RSA Student Chapters provide a forum for gathering locally as rhetoricians and can serve a variety of rhetoric-related functions. Many established student chapters have created or are creating rhetoric colloquia.”).

CPTSC: CPSTC has individual annual memberships that are $40. With the membership, you can attend annual conferences, ask questions and get answers on their listserv, shareeffective practices, read and contribute to the organization’s journal,Programmatic Perspectives, and apply for CPTSC research grants.(waiting on a response about institutional memberships)
